The “cardiac age” thing is pseudoscientific horseshit. It’s not a thing. His heart is 79 years old.

It may be operating within normal parameters, but a 65 y/o heart has pretty much the same benchmarks as a 79 y/o one.

The Trump regime is firing many of the 2,540 employee of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) during the ongoing government shutdown. Why? CISA dismissed Trump’s allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Three key points:
1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February
2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty
3) This harms America, ridding us of talent and expertise

DHS is one of the agencies that has historically been led by professionals and stayed out of politics. This is disgraceful.

Also, DHS was an overreaction to 9/11 that has turned into what some people were afraid it would. It needs to be disbanded and brown into its component services again.

Not everyone voted for Trump *because* he's an asshole. A lot of them found a way to view him as the good guy, but his second term is making that flex more and more difficult.
