Come around to thinking that, while some percentage of federal officials / agents on the ground would still act like they’ll be in power forever, some blatantly authoritarian activity would be blunted by a unified promise by Dem leaders to seriously and ceaselessly pursue them when the power shifts

What Democrats are supposed to do, above all else, is to rally resistance against a nakedly fascist regime.

The fact that they're not doing it is down to the fact that Democrats have spent every election cycle since 1992 suppressing grassroots activism.

As a result, they've forgotten HOW.

As someone who worked there, the reason CAP isn't trying is because they're not a liberal Heritage Foundation devoted to generational furtherment of liberal ideals. They were a 501c3 dedicated to making Hillary Clinton and possibly her daughter president and they catastrophically failed at it

The recent ICE raid which emptied an entire apartment building was apparently at the request of Wells Fargo, which is trying to foreclose on the building.
