Hi. I'm a registered lobbyist in the state with formerly the strictest term limits in the country. Term limits destroyed all institutional knowledge and trust in the legislature. Yes we became more influential, as did legislative staff & the Executive Branch, but we still backed term limits reform.

Capitalist enclosure - whatever you want to call it - leads people to view friends as assets measured solely on their ability to help you get rich. Friends are not even human in this scenario. They are tools to maximize income/profit. It’s all very dark.
The whole “if your friend group isn’t (insert Grindset Mindset gibberish)” thing is so soul-killing. Like, it’s fun to have dirtball friends (as long as they’re good people) because being a dumbass with your buddies is fun.
