If Rand Paul is on his ass I can confirm two things

1. Even the worst people on the planet hate Pete Hegseth

2. My electoral platform of “drop Pete Hegseth into a vat of crabs” is viable and accepting donors now
Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

Regardless of what happens tonight, the South matters a lot more than you think
Yes. Important to realize that Tennessee sent 2 Dems to Congress until very recently. This seat was rigged with the explicit intent of not being anywhere near winnable. The fact that the Reps had to sweat it is VERY bad for them.
TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

Republicans should be winning districts like this without batting an eye. They had to call in Trump, Fox News, all of it. The beast is bleeding.
If Dems are competitive in a ruby red district in Tennessee and the response is anything but damn this Trump shit is unpopular I don’t know what to tell you

I really, really hope the first-time and young volunteers and donors understand that this one was something to build on.
It's over.

Republican Matt Van Epps will beat Democrat Aftyn Behn in the 7th District special election.

There are not enough votes in Davidson to overcome the lead and other outstanding counties will not make a difference.

Anytime you encounter this in the wild, just reply "so?"

The only reason anyone would care if white people "went extinct" (and, Christ, get a grip) would be if they thought white people were inherently superior for some reason. Make them say that with their whole chest.

DJ Durkin murdered Jordan McNair.
I hate that this sport is so predictably shitty every chance it gets. And I am still very confused how Durkin wasn’t charged with something for McNair’s death.
that’s a wrap on my high opinion of Golesh, and a necessary reminder that if you think you like a coach as a person — no, you don’t

i will never not be frustrated by the ways in which certain ubiquitous "rural" iconography -- big $100,000 trucks and pricey boots, etc etc -- is really just suburban and exurbanites doing cowboy cosplay

i will always be amazed at how many c-suite dudes have cowboy fantasies
I think we lost it in editing but I talked about that very thing. Real rural life is virtually invisible — no art for dollar stores and meth clinics. And its racial diversity is erased. Actual rural people, especially poor ones, cannot access its aesthetic power
This is really important, because it is also about who can access the rural aesthetic. It's not always rural residents!

To give you an idea of how ridiculous the gerrymandering in Nashville is, here’s our district. They diluted a third of Nashville into a rural area about 50 times as large that extends north to the Kentucky border and about a third of the length of the state to the east.

Not officially, but here’s the gist:

- Lane adopts Juice
- Juice gets injured at least twice (hit by a car, gash on his leg) while owned by Lane
- Kennel takes Juice away early on from Lane but doesn’t tell anyone
- Lane continues tweeting as the dog and acting like he owns him

so sick of playoff bitching already. no one has any right to be mad anymore, just lose less games!

texas could’ve beat florida

miami could’ve beat louisville

it’s really that simple. ooc scheduling for both of them is irrelevant, they’ve kept themselves out of the playoff.

A reminder to a nation with way too many people untethered to facts and truth: There’s no such thing as “The Department of War.” It doesn’t exist. Only Congress has the power to create and name executive departments & agencies. So it’s still The Department of Defense.

Thanks
