Yes.

And then also fired a ton of senior agents with a ton of counterterrorism experience, including the Acting Director.
Didn’t the FBi pull a lot of personnel from anti terrorism to put them on deportations?

Actually the whole security establishment pivoted

Happy World Linguistics Day in Seattle!
That's a wrap for World Linguistics Day in my timezone, at least!

Still time to celebrate for a few hours maybe if you live west of me!

Stay tuned in the next few days for a roundup of all the different places we had WLD greetings from (ps: belated greetings count!)
Happy World Linguistics Day from Montreal, Canada!

(I wonder how many different places we can get world linguistics day wishes from this year!)

I believe in my heart that anyone and everyone who wants to make music should do, regardless of their skill level, with whatever tools they have available

But I emphasize the word “MAKE”

Open your mouth, grab your instrument, make a sound, and do it over and over again until it sounds good to you

With DC shooter now identified as an Afghan national not the antifa secret agent White House hoped for a good time to remember the Trump admin has gutted domestic anti-terrorism capacity and reassigned many to finding grandmothers to arrest at immigration hearings.

“Is right-wing slop breaking through to the mainstream?” No. No it is not. Billions of dollars and countless man-hours are spent propping it up and people fucking hate it. It’s soulless trash that doesn’t even convincingly convey honest animus

precisely my thought. the president and his dumbass republican allies put these men and women into harm’s way for a political stunt and look what has happened
Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

one thing i really resent is the way lizza, nuzzi and related parties have spent years acting like it’s their extreme reverence for american politics that allows them to slip inside the palace and tell their tales, regardless of party, when really they just wanted to be a part of the king’s court.

Writing about my wife’s naked political corruption like a Dan Brown novel
This is a lot, but (allegedly) Olivia Nuzzi sent a secret recorder with a sketch artist to tape Trump at Mar-a-Lago so she could feed campaign intel to RFK, where [pauses to take a breath] something Trump said about his assassination attempt “would shatter our understanding of recent history”??

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

I truly believe that one of the pleasures and purposes of life is finding and doing/enjoying the things that call to YOU - what you like, who you are! It is so bizarre to willingly choose these silly restrictions instead.
So many men go through life like that. You can play poker because it's right-coded, you can't enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks because they're women-coded, you can't lick an ice cream cone because it's gay-coded. All day, every day, choosing and judging things based on coding for narrow norms.
