FELIX LEITER: It’s high stakes poker. You’re going up against a man called Le Chiffre. He’s a financier for some pretty nasty folks.
NORTHERNLION: Chat, this might be the easiest mission ever.
DAN GHEESLING: Financier. What is that?
JAMES BOND: (pregnant pause, slides chips) 2 million.
NORTHENLION: [holding a pair of fives] Chat, is bro serious? I’m in.

Embarrassing to see adults talk to robots in a public forum. That'd be like if your friend asked a mailbox for directions once. You'd roast him for decades for that shit. Every time the concept of navigating space came up you'd hit him with "Why don't you ask the mailbox?"

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

Mandelson’s malign influence runs right through the heart of this Government.

Not least in the govt’s NHS data deal with Palantir – a spy-tech firm co-founded by a man who thinks the NHS should be ‘ripped up.’

I've written to Wes Streeting urging him to ditch this dangerous deal.

Whenever I voice note someone and listen to it back, I'm shocked how often I say "you know" as a bit of verbal filler. Emphasising points, between sentences, to plug silence - I swear I don't hear myself doing it, but it's fucking unending. I don't know how this happened to me.

Would Orson Welles want his lost classic restored by A.I.? You mean the same Orson Welles who, when Ted Turner was leading the charge to colorize black & white movies, famously proclaimed "don't let Ted Turner deface my movie with his crayons"? I think I can make an educated guess here.
In 1942, RKO slashed 43 minutes from Orson Welles's "The Magnificent Ambersons" and slapped on a happy ending. Now, an A.I. company wants to restore what was lost. Are they righting a historic wrong or descrating a classic? My deep dive, in this week's New Yorker. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Will an A.I. restoration of “The Magnificent Ambersons” right a historic wrong or desecrate a classic?

Lets also talk about Nigel Farage appearing in the Epstein Files 43 times, lets do that too.
Let's talk about who funds Reform.

Let's talk about how disastrous Brexit has been.

Let's talk about why Gorton & Denton must vote Green & stop Reform.

Why so quiet, Nigel Farage?

Christ alive, how is she (with her team) one of the figurehead political figures on the BBC with questions like this?

"You generally avoid taking planes."
"That's right."
"Aha! But what if you absolutely had to take a plane?"
"I'd take a plane."
#bbclaurak tries to get a gotcha. Zack, you refuse to fly. How can you be a candidate for high office if you'd refuse to ever get on a plane?

Well Laura, in that situation I'd get on a plane.

Anyone who thinks Racists will keep politely to agreed boundary that includes all the people you dislike in the Outgroup and keeps you safely in the Ingroup are fucking deluded bigots. Fascism is not logical and does not have an endpoint. There will always be an enemy and it will be you eventually.

It’s weird that the conspiracy that turned out to be true is exactly the one that will inevitably happen if you let dangerously rich and powerful people do what the fuck they like without consequences, then also let them lobby to remove restrictions to getting more rich and powerful.

Why does Bluesky now have the "what's up" way to post at the top of the feed, in addition to the long-standing blue post icon at the bottom of the feed? Redundant duplication, and useless because the lower option is always more convenient.

Today has been unexpectedly draining. In that it has been unexpected and draining, and also that the ways in which it has been draining have been unexpectedly so.

Not a perfect long term solution but I bought myself a bar of Mini Eggs chocolate and I've eaten the whole thing. It helped.

I don't exaggerate when I say that Andrew Wakefield should be tried for mass murder. We'll never know how many people have died or will die as a direct result of his fraudulent study.
This is the large domino, with the small domino being some random quack in the UK in 1998 trying to undermine the existing MMR vaccine so his business partner can swoop in with his own. Instead he lost his work credentials and now kids are dying needlessly all over the world, so great job everyone.
Austria loses its WHO status as measles-free, too, together with Armenia, Azerbaijan Uzbekistan and Spain. This comes as no surprise, considering the rise in numbers in recent years and the decline in MMR vaccine coverage

And I didn't need AI to help me express that thought.
BREAKING: Free AI training will be offered to every adult in the UK, with short courses to teach people how to use simple AI tools effectively in the workplace.
