Can you think of a single movie in which there is a video from the government denouncing its political opponents playing on a loop in public spaces in which that government was the good guy?

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

Minneapolis could, I imagine, have nice things too. If they elected leaders who choose to implement the solutions that we know already work.

I know this case is all over - & it should be - but Turning Point USA has waged a harassment campaign against faculty for more than a decade. I know of at least a half dozen other faculty, personally, who have received death threats and several of those who felt so unsafe they too left their homes

Are we great yet?

Mark Bray, a Rutgers University professor and expert on anti-fascist groups, is fleeing to Spain with his family due to death threats that stem from a campaign by Turning Point USA and other conservative groups to get him fired, falsely labeling him as an antifa member.

DEGROWTH TO
POSTGROWTH:
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE FIGHTS Sunday, October 12th from 6:30 9 pm Cottonwood Room at New City Center, 3104 16th Ave S, Minneapolis

Presentation/discussion (6:30 - 8pm) followed by a community mending circle (8-9pm). No mending experience necessary, just bring your worn out/holey clothing and a desire to learn a new skill! RSVP here (link in bio):
linktr.ee/twincitiesdsa What is Degrowth?
Degrowth is a political, social, and economic movement that aims to take a systems-wide approach to the climate crisis by realigning all human activities to fall within our ecological limits. Going beyond false solutions of "green growth," degrowth and a host of related theories challenge the capitalistic notion of growth as a measure of human/planetary health, and call for a radical reimagining of both our future, and what it will take to get there. Come learn more about our current planetary predicament, what degrowth looks like, and to connect with other people working towards a better future for the planet and all those who exist on it.

I'm really glad more people are realizing how brutal ICE has been in Chicago but it's really weird to see people talking about Rev Black getting attacked like it happened yesterday and not 3 weeks ago. Like, I'm glad people are catching up! But it's very weird.

I was honored to represent Robin Wonsley and Michael Wilson. I admire them for their commitment to the hard, necessary work ahead of us and required of us. I got fired from a good job for taking this case, and yet I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you, Robin and Michael, for fighting for Minneapolis.

I teach in my undergrad class on the history of the US jury system that the institution's roots are in colonial juries serving as a counterweight to abuses of imperial power. The American jury has problems for sure but still can serve that roll. Don't blow off jury service.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.
wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.

Be *extra* careful if traveling westbound on the detour.

Drivers are not looking for westbound traffic on 28th and I know of at least one crash (last night, car/scooters) already since the detour went in.
