Nazi Tattoo guy who hasn't won shit front and center but Mayor of NYC over to the left
A base that has long made pragmatic, sober decisions appears increasingly attracted to charismatic outsiders who promise to break from the party’s failures of the last decade. They see their party’s leaders as feckless and inept.

It’s the Democratic Tea Party, with a twist. trib.al/mC5cBDA

We shouldn't let the fact that this guy is probably a closet Nazi stop us from appreciating one very important qualification he definitely DOES have that's important to the mainstream Democratic party: treating his constituents like they're ignorant children

2. keeping the Nazi tattoo!
3. lying about the Nazi tattoo!
4. only covering up the Nazi tattoo after backlash!
5. he's written racist and misogynist things on the Internet!
6. HE'S SEEKING MORE POWER & HAS EVERY INCENTIVE TO LIE

The denaturalization project, no matter how it is cloaked in law, is inherently a politically targeted abuse of power until they go after the single most prominent case of naturalization fraud in the country: Elon Musk obtaining his citizenship by lying about his prior immigration status violations.
cool, cool. so we are sort of like citizens, but not really?

I remember years ago on Twitter, lots of print journalists/pundits told historians that they simply couldn't footnote their pieces because that's just not how things are done.

Reading a particular mag's output, one starts to think they can't footnote because very little of what they write is real.

Someone who won’t vote for AOC because she’s insufficiently left for them is someone whose vote we will never get and they should be treated as such. Also they only exist online

“Federal agents aren’t just seizing phones. They’re holding onto people’s driver’s licenses, cash and keys.”

I’ve been worrying about the phones for a while, but at least I can imagine a story — in most cases false — why they might need to keep a phone as evidence. But CASH? KEYS?
A 76-year-old veteran and nurse was tackled and detained at the site of Alex Pretti's killing. Agents told him his phone was evidence in an investigation into him assaulting an officer.

This exactly. I have taught many ages of kids as an adult, including when I was in my late teens-20s, and they were clearly *kids*, even when the age difference was only a few years.
when i was a 16yo girl i thought i was an adult. coaching 12-17yo girls as a 28yo really hammered home how much i was wrong about being an adult at 16 and how obvious it is to actual adults that a 16yo is not an adult. if they say they cannot tell they are lying because they are a creep.

I hope the accountant arm of the resistance is keeping a running tab so we know exactly how much wealth needs to be redistributed, and to where, when we prosecute these people. We’ve got a backlog of long overdue reparations to be paid, and now we have a fresh new set of horrors to account for.
the scuttlebutt about noem and lewandowski’s relationship is fun, but don’t miss that they used OBBA money to lease/buy an expensive private plane that said was for deportations but are instead using to jet around the country

They are not concentration camps as a euphemism for extermination camps.
