Folks, we need to have a little Civics #101 chat, because apparently the media no longer seems fit to explain to you whats happening.
So quick review:
The House passed a clean CR.
The senate has not passed anything.

"On November 7, USDA notified the States that it was implementing full SNAP benefits for November, and would "complete the processes necessary to make funds available.”
Basically, USDA pulled a bait-and-switch on the states, saying they would fully fund SNAP and then filing for an emergency stay.

Looks like this is real. About 40% of the flight at 8k feet, then bumped up to 10k, and then finally went up higher, but only to 20k feet. Much slower than normal flight and likely burned a lot more fuel. But the view out the window was probably impressive.

Judge Mark Wolf resigns from the District Court of Massachusetts and writes why in a powerful piece in the Atlantic.
One thing he doesn’t mention in his list of reasons but I’m sure is a factor:
Erez Reuveni was one of his law clerks.

But they need your help. Here are the best ways to do that:

A good example is when you look at AI generated art.
If every inch of the image is the same level of detail, it's likely AI.
Real human artists tend to focus their efforts on the important parts of a piece and not exhaustively detail every flower petal.
This is especially true with "anime" art.

This might actually be THE point where Christian Nationalism starts either splintering...or the NAR literally just joins with Christian Identity and REALLY returns to its roots
(I'd have thought the SBC/NAR widening split would have been the fissure, but a neo-Nazi/NAR split has been growing)

1. A watershed moment.
The President of the Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action, Kevin Roberts , has announced that the organization is standing by Tucker Carlson in the aftermath of Tucker’s interview with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes.
This isn’t Kevin bending his knee to Trump…this is something new

How can The Satanic Temple's defenders think grotesque bigotry by TST owner "Lucien Greaves" is merely "an imperfection" to be celebrated?

Also, please don't pay attn to any non-deportation forms of violence prevention by following charts and graphs (that demonstrate the real people who are alive today and might otherwise be dead + whose moms aren't calling him)

A not insignificant number of people knew the demolition was coming, including people at the White House Historical Association, and did nothing to stop it.
I see that @whitehousehistory.bsky.social put out a statement yesterday stating that they were able to complete a “comprehensive digital scanning project” to document the East Wing, and that the historic artifacts have been preserved and stored.
