I’m mainly a singer/songwriter with the occasional divergence into improvised instrumental tone-poem-y kinds of stuff. Along the way, a lot of other interests come into play.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I’m sorry, but the west coast can not fathom the predatory instincts of east cost feral creatures gorging on local booze. They even know to pass out in the toilet.

Unprecedented levels of lawlessness authoritarian corruption. Things that would immediately end a presidency in any minimally functional political system.
SCOOP: Sources tell me Donald Trump's name was added to the exterior of the US Institute of Peace building ahead of Thursday's peace agreement signing between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which will be held inside the building. Confirming if it's been officially renamed.

Just pathetic. The mainstream dems just don’t understand that the current media will not investigate stories. They will only report what one side or the other says. And if only one side is talking (and Trump is ALWAYS talking), that is the only narrative that will get reported.

Awww yea. More of this, please.

This seems an excellent suggestion and a great outline for all states moving forward.
Not coincidentally this is a pretty good list of Most Important Companies to Unionize.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

Not too bad, really. I wonder how many of the “fuckings” and “hells” went together.
@raywoodruff.com has swears! They've used 131 profanities in their last 1,478 posts.

RIP - a breathtaking writer who pinned his works to such varied intellectual interests and foci that obscure works could become a favorite just because of his treatment of a pet subject. My favorite is “Artist Descending a Staircase.”

Since I want to read whatever he is working on, please give him your #rva tourism experiences.
(As I am in RVA and my tourism involves going to Lowes and petting Francine from time to time, I don’t count).
Hey, I’m working on a story about tourism in the Richmond Virginia region and need to talk with anyone visiting or who has visited the area.
Please message me here.

Oh, and disband the Department of Education and create a Department of War…
And if you want techno-feudalism it would help greatly to have a population that are dependent and lack the ability to think critically. AI is a tool to facilitate the end-to-end wipeout of critical thinking.

I'd encourage educators to work from the standpoint that AI was, from the off, intended as an assault on their institutions. The Venn diagram between AI evangelists and people who want to replace democracy with techno-feudalism is a circle.

Aside from cruelty (which is always the point with this admin), there is really only one reason for this. To make sure that there is no chance of a survivor ever being able to be identified or to tell their story to the press and thus to the American voters (or, hopefully, war crimes tribunal).
Jack Goldsmith was head of the Office of Legal Counsel under George W Bush.

Very true and what the point always was. They could always say it. They just were looked upon (and thus felt like) an asshole for it. They wanted someone to give them permission to not feel like an asshole for their actions. That’s quite a position of weakness, innit?
A person used that word around me on Wednesday night. I asked him not to because it’s offensive and said that we’d moved past it as a society. He evaluated and apologized and bought me a beer. These people are assholes, but they’re also cowards and don’t expect you to call them on their bullshit.

Wow. When your dichotomy is really a uniotomy…
“Critics have likened Mr. Trump’s approach to extortion, while others have chalked it up as making people offers they can’t refuse.”
How did the @nytimes.com editors let this sentence appear?

"Critics have likened Mr. Trump’s approach to extortion, while others have chalked it up as a cost of doing business with this administration."
