Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

The mods were awful and lost control - but what on earth is wrong with Earle-Sears? Does she have some slightly artificial and extremely rarefied form of Tourette’s? Was she drunk? Is she so convinced that God has chosen her that she deserves to stop anyone else from speaking? What the hell?

Possibly the worst aspect of this debate was the NexStar "moderators" allowing Earle-Sears to keep interrupting, which she did the entire debate, then to admonish BOTH CANDIDATES for talking over each other, when it was ONLY Earle-Sears doing so! Insane. bluevirginia.us/2025/10/live...

Virginia Republican gubernatorial nominee Winsome Earle-Sears has no policy positions, has shared no plans for what she’d do if elected, grants no interviews, and isn’t even on her own campaign bus as it tours the state. She’s a candidate in name only.

Spanberger answers questions about policy. Earle-Sears does not.

This fits a pattern where Earle-Sears has avoided taking about most issues. Her silence on issues is unprecedented in modern Virginia history.
