Corrupt cops are nothing new. "Cop who takes bribes", tale as old as time. "Cop who steals coke from the evidence locker", absolutely. "Cops who are conspiring to whack a prison officer due to criminal turf war ties"??? That is some DEEP institutional rot.

It's amazing how often people attribute genius to the most mediocre of rich white guys, no manner how many stupid things they say out loud.

this stuff has really broken me. it's simply astounding that so many people who have been allowed to amass unimaginable wealth are so droolingly stupid, so unmoored from and in fact hostile to any sense of community or social responsibility, and oh by the way they love to constantly rape children

I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible with insane billionaires like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk, so it seems we're at an impasse.

Let's put it to a vote!

Going to start applying this method to other patent Trump falsehoods, like how I went to hot yoga and all the trendy zoomers were talking about how Donald Trump actually has the world's cleanest butthole and wears diapers even though he doesn't need them.
Of all the things in the history of the world that definitely did not happen - this is the pinnacle.

The funny thing about a certain type of angry conspiracy guy is that they’re literally being confronted with an elite paedophile ring and a tyrannical government at the same time right now, and because it isn't being done by the people they wanted it to be done by they’re all being pussies about it

Feelings don't care about your facts, libtards!
Poilievre just told #CP26 "There's never been a referendum crisis or a national unity crisis when Conservatives have been in power It's an interesting coincidence isn't it" False. BQ was the product of Mulroney's time in office. Borden - WWI conscription crisis. Sir John - Louis Riel. C'mon man.

2005: you can rent a movie, it’s about $5

2011: you have 1-2 subscriptions for ~$20 and can watch most things

2022: you could see almost anything — with 13 subscriptions for $150

2026: every subscription is $30 w/ads and has 3 movies, or rent for $35

~1999-present: your local library has the dvd
is it just me or is like every movie being removed from streaming services and now you have to pay to rent them again

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Laughing at the senate dems and their request that DHS & ICE engage in a tasteful amount of ethnic cleansing.

it took longer than expected but this did eventually get to Trump re: Elon! it has the added benefit of being even more true for Miller than it was for Musk
he’s the shadow president and we should start saying it loud enough that Trump becomes Shakespearean tragedy level convinced of the truth that Miller is usurping him

Chickadees are a pretty good symbol for community defense; they're rooted in their locality (don't migrate), they indicate resources to migratory birds, they warn of threats ("chickadee-dee-dee-dee") and they dgaf about the cold
Just a little scrabbledy sketch to keep spirits up.

I also learned today that a group of chickadees is called a ‘banditry’ and how cute is that?
