A friend of mine just went to an anime tattoo con in Richmond, I honestly didn't even know that was a thing.
If you find yourself in town during that time of year it might be something to check out (that is, if the tattoos you have in mind are anime/gamer related)

In the interest of self-preservation I need to start reiterating: my current contract with KO_OP ends late Nov, and I'm looking for my next gig! I'm a game/narrative designer, writer, & generalist with lots of implementation experience in Unity, some in Unreal, knowledge of C#, Python, and more.

Another cool mutual I met here is @kristinmaiart.bsky.social , who creates stunning illustrations and just published a beautiful edition of The Phantom of the Opera

A little video from our Scarecrow tour. Spotted Dracula, Edward Scissorhands, and Ripley.

Most of my IRL friends aren't on here and I didn't know if I would end up making any mutuals with cool strangers.

Shout out to @etherdiver.bsky.social & @mmemaledicta.bsky.social for sharing cool music, and seeming to be all around decent people.

Some angry guy behind us rolled his window down when we were two feet from making it to the otherwise of the street to say "take your time". It really dampened the mood 😕
I know I shouldn't be so sensitive, or let it get me down but it's just hard. It upset my partner too. I was doing my best.

Anyway, my partner and I went to this historic downtown area which is very pedestrian-friendly. We wanted to take a stroll enjoy the weather, and look at the Halloween decorations.

If I'm already really fatigued, my back or joint pain is acting up, or it's hot (one of my conditions causes heat intolerance) I can't always do that. Even then I don't think I'm incredibly slow, my mom is also disabled and walks slower than me and people should be patient & accepting of that.

So usually when I'm crossing a street or going from a parking lot to a store, I try to quicken my pace if there is s car waiting. It always comes at the expense of me having shortness of breath & tachycardia but I still do it anyway. I don't like feeling like an inconvenience.

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

Cancel your #Spotify today. Use those dollars to buy between 1 & 3 (or more!) albums on #BandcampFriday. Enjoy the actual, direct impact you had on someone's life. (Hell they might message you to say thanks!)

No amount of $$$ (or streams) spent on Spotify will ever change ANYTHING for the better!

Years ago I got one of those seasonal depression lights to mimic sunlight, and then read the instructions and it had to be within like 6in of my face? So it was unusable. It was kind of pricey, but there were more expensive models that I assume work at a reasonable distance.

This is a fairly new symptom for me. Previously I only dealt with pain from vocal cord dysfunction from cold winter air. I had some minor issues with choking easily. That's it though 😕

My doctor said he has EDS patients who were professional public speakers who had to leave their jobs. I guess it's good that I've always been too shy to have pursued anything involving that.

I'd like to still talk to my loved ones without struggling to breath and needing hours to recover though.

"Vocal fatigue". Like what do you mean I can't even talk for long, without feeling like I'm running out of air, having to completely stop talking mid-converstion to air, my voice, and having chest pain for hours afterwards? I am sitting still, and speaking is too much exertion. It's so defeating.

My chronic pain, fatigue, and weakness have limited so much of what I can do, and how long I can do it. In the past year though my vocal cord dysfunction has significantly increased.
