This is the worst selection committee we've ever had.

Cannot believe Alabama didn't even drop one spot after the SEC title game blowout. Cannot believe they waited until the final reveal to flip Miami-ND. Could have done it at ANY point.

I don't think it's great for faith in the sport's governance that two teams in the 12-year history of the Playoff have made the field when they really shouldn't have, and both of those teams were Alabama

Just a painfully stupid process.

I just can't say it enough: "Notre Dame will stay ahead of Miami in the rankings as long as there's a team serving as a physical barrier between them, otherwise Miami will jump them" is a very, VERY dumb process.

That @espn.com doesn't have a college football wrap up show tonight is embarrassing.

Breaking news: a good QB and good lines tend to work out in your favor.
If there's a lesson from this season, it's that spending money on a quarterback works. Spending money on your offensive and defensive lines works.

Just now, today. Not anywhere in the previous 12 games.
Yeah I think Indiana has the better QB in this game.

Fernando Mendoza has arrived.

Anyone remember if that Auburn team got bumped out of the playoff?
The last time Georgia lost to someone in the regular season and then played them again in the SEC championship was Auburn in 2017.

Georgia won that game 28-7.

Same score it’s up on Alabama entering the two minute warning.

I remember it fondly.
I’m old enough. I was in college when Mike Shula was Bama’s coach and we regarded them like we did Ole Miss

💯
An honest Q to the college football-minded over here who have a firm grasp of how that committee works: How much would Alabama need to lose by tonight in order to have its CFP case truly be in doubt? Is it 10 points? 20? 30-plus?

It is pretty incredible that in an age of big data, college football comes down to a bunch of powerbrokers deciding which teams they want to play for the title based on whatever rules they want.

The committee should really consider this when seeding
Calipari insists on having Nick Pringle (now 31-27 lifetime) instead of Trevon Brazile (38-15) take the opening jump this season and he just lost another one.

If all these schools can find more resources whenever a coach threatens to leave, why don't they just give them to him in the first place? Would likely be helpful.

Can't take any mock draft article seriously that talks about Arch Manning.

All bc coaches didn't want to have to recruit in January. The leaders of the sport are so bad.
Tulane beats Charlotte 27-0 and will play North Texas for the American championship and a Playoff spot.

Jon Sumrall's future, meanwhile... a good chance both teams will be led by coaches who have accepted other jobs.

I want the message to be go back to smaller conferences that play a similar schedule so we can actually tell who is better than who.
More Sark stumping: "What message do you want to send to the head coaches and the athletic directors around the country? Do you want us not to schedule Ohio State? Because if we're 10-2 right now, this isn't even a discussion."

Have you ever wanted to watch an older gentleman hit himself in the dick with an egg going 88 miles per hour because of a Contraption Malfunction?
