Literally losing my mind that everyone from Democrats to journalists are talking about this guy like he's a normal dude and not someone whose two big things are committing an ethnic cleansing and taking a fucking cartoon ass bribe from the feds

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

Ah yes, letting the secret police just do night raids surely fixes the problem
"I'm gonna give Homan the benefit of the doubt"

"They should coordinate with local law enforcement, pick these people up in the middle of the night when they're not suspecting it"

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

Reminder that, as of the latest reports, Liam Ramos is still in prison in Texas - now for 5 days.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

This guy (Melugin) was the Fox clown talking about “information war” and the need to get out the government’s “side,” which of course, he’s more than happy to push.
Imagine watching that and, as a reporter, immediately tweeting this seemingly without a single critical thought flitting through your head.

Only the most extreme reasons (e.g. active war, pandemic) should be allowed to halt free movement of people. It ought to be the default right of human beings.

This is one of those things that in another administration couldve been a months long scandal if the media wanted it to be. call it AgentGate. What did Bondi know and when did she know it? Weeks of opinion pieces etc etc.
Breaking NYT:

The FBI agent who sought to investigate the federal immigration officer who fatally shot Renee Good has resigned from the bureau, according to two people familiar with the matter, after leadership pressured her to discontinue a civil rights inquiry into the officer.

End of last year when LA was hit with ICE brigades, our school bottomed out attendance the last couple weeks. Principal explained to me that attendance matters when it comes to state and fed funding and they were doing it on purpose to hamstring LA in any way possible

I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.

But when I asked an organizer what they wanted to see out of press coverage, they told me they wanted people to see the beautiful things they are building here, and not just the worst stories of the worst of ICE's crimes.

What people are doing here is beautiful. It's a tragic beauty, but a real one

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
