I fell at the gym a couple days ago and my legs gave out when I kept trying to stand up.

Two people helped me like it was no big deal. Before she started back on her run, one lady said “we help each other, right?”

Anyway, three years ago I would have been humiliated but now I’m just grateful.

rereading a novel from the 50s set in the 30s and i know this passage did not hit as hard when i first read it in the 90s as it does now

as the world gets worse you need to look at more bugs. it will help, in a cosmic sort of way. there's little animals around you that you can look at as they do little animal things. look a bug as soon as possible. connect with other animal in this way and know
