If the cost of electricity reduces after this Big Gas Bottle*, I will personally pay for Nicola to take her kids to the cinema**

* That’s all it is, right?
** I’m assuming that she still can’t afford to, and that’s why there are tax cuts coming, and it’s not a bribe for the upcoming election
Nicola just fuelled that fire with more of her famus IREX Class Math

I’ve just woken up from a mad dream involving Nigel Farage

Apparently, Dream Me is living back in Britain and owes Farage £1.23 from an earlier dream - can’t remember why

Anyway, I’m walking through Oxford Library - no idea why, I have no link to Oxford - and Farage is sat there with his shirt off

"This went to Lothair’s second son, helpfully known as Lothair II, who entirely failed to produce a legitimate heir of his own.”

Some friends from Britain are touring New Zealand at the moment and instead of telling them all the amazing places they can visit, I’m suggesting cheap petrol stations

Not getting that job at the NZ Tourist Board am I?

I’ve said it before, but Jonn says it more eloquently; George Michael was the best of us
Today, thoughts inevitably turn to a man whose life and death will always be associated with this time of year – a man whose purity of heart and good works alike contain, I think, the true spirit of the season.
On the true meaning of Christmas
Some notes on the man who to me represents the spirit of the season.

At this time of the year I can find myself getting maudlin, thinking about the past, and where I was born and brought up

But I find it makes things better listening to old folk songs from the region

Watched Nuremberg last night and was astonished to find out that Christopher Luxon’s uses the same defence for anything that his ministers have done wrong, “I am unaware”, as Hermann Göring used when accused of knowing exactly what went on in concentration camps

If I was running the election campaign for Labour/Greens/TPM I would simply have pictures of the senior National MPs with that “Top 1%” quote. Same for ACT & NZF

Maybe a subheading of “That’s who they are governing for, not you”
Here's our country summary.

Top 1% have 12% of income and 22.7% of wealth.

"inequality remains moderate but has risen slightly in recent years..but shows signs of gradual widening across income and wealth dimensions"

I wish I worked for Christopher Luxon.

He’s set such a low bar for “doing an exceptionally good job” that I reckon I could phone in any minister’s job from my bed, probably before I wake up
"You can go through the process story of who said what, when, and where, but from my point of view the matter's settled. Mark's addressed the issues, I'm very comfortable with that. I think he's doing an exceptionally good job," Luxon said. 👀
