Unlike the Nazis, I am sure they are doing it on purely scientific grounds. You can’t trust a Mohammedan, things of that nature.
Yes, thank God the New York Democratic Congressional delegation including national leadership is rallying around Zohran Mamdami for Mayor! They unders… ohh, oh, OK, I’m hearing they are still supporting Cuomo. Nevertheless!
The Muslim Democratic Candidate for Mayor of New York City is not sufficiently deferential to the state of Israel and therefore anyone else is preferential. Thank you Dan for stating that clearly.
Daniel Goldman went onto CNN earlier *TODAY* and said

1) He isn't sure if he'll vote for Andrew Cuomo
2) And that he won't endorse Mamdani because Mamdnai has not done enough condemnations of anti-Israel violence

I like Platner's posts as much as any red-blooded progressive but you don't get a pass for having a Nazi tattoo just by being in the Corps and working blue-collar jobs. Source: me, a guy who knows a bunch of Marines and worked construction.
This guy obviously sucks but asking Gillibrand for a comment about it is hilarious. It would be nice if we would treat people that hate Muslims as much as she does the same way we *should* treat Nazis in this country.
Hold on dude, it sounds like he wants to build a pool. That kind of scratch could get you a pretty awesome pool with like slides and fake cliffs and stuff.

NEW: 200+ Chicago-area clergy — Protestants, Catholics, and evangelicals — have signed a letter decrying ICE's efforts and voicing a willingness to put their "bodies on the line" for migrants.

"What Kristi Noem and her ICE agents are doing is immoral," they write. religionnews.com/2025/10/21/a...

I think I found the TV miniseries that Trump was talking about today. It's called "A Woman Named Jackie" and aired on NBC in 1991.

He misremembered what happened, of course. Jackie Kennedy's assistant is the one who tries to get into the pool, where JFK is swimming with mistresses.
Jesus Christ. 1991!! He’s got DEMENTIA dementia.
Wouldn’t “Mr. Lucky” be his dad’s name?

After this far-right propagandist put an inflammatory spotlight on vendors on Canal Street, ICE agents were spotted at the location making indiscriminate arrests of anyone they think looks like a delivery person or vendor (ie: not white)

"ICE declined to answer questions about the basement detentions in response to inquiries from Times of San Diego.

Instead, in an email, an official suggested the agency be given the ID number for any migrant who had spoken with a reporter."
Asylum-seekers now held for days – in a downtown San Diego basement
Migrants held in makeshift conditions in basement offices say they slept in the cold, used the restroom without privacy and went without medical attention.

All this Platner news makes me queasy, but I'll also say this entire arc of life he describes (basically good instincts, unbelievably provincial, saturated in toxic masculinity, growing more progressive as he ages) is a very common thing here in Maine.
And this interview just dropped so idk maybe he has an explanation and maybe it’s recoverable but it’s a cautionary tale about people getting invested in the aesthetics of a candidate, not an actual candidate
