I was high school and saw ALIENS opening weekend with my crew of rowdy punk stagehands (yes, we were theater kids, but different 😂). When the smarmy corporate stooge got eaten we all jumped out of our seats, hootin’ & hollerin’ and high fiving each other
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

It’s windy and rainy and my dog has beef with the wind — she is napping next to me but grumbles when she hears it. When we go out, she faces into it and sometimes grumbles and barks at it, then hides behind my legs. No idea why she is so mistrustful of blustery days, no idea what’s in that noggin

Wait, I really AM a lonely DJ…and yet, this sounds fun?
Not to be vulnerable on main, but damn I have really lost my confidence lately. I’m not used to moving through the world without a certain swagger. I’m consistently making work I’m really proud of, and yet…I just don’t feel like myself. It’s fucken awful. (Not seeking advice or weird replies)

...the biggest thing so many of them learned is that it's better to just start writing because writing itself is thinking. Which is what I'd argue we did try to make the foundational skill of the class. Write crap! Write something shitty! Write "blah blah this sucks!" Freewrite! 2/4

What have I accomplished this year? Well, because I texted "try this, see if you like it" to my beloved, wonderful 75 year old Auntie every few weeks, she now loves and independently listens to the White Stripes, New Order, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, and Monster Magnet. I feel pretty good about that.
