It bugs me is when people get defensive when I say I always hated [monster] with receipts. Because I'm not trying to puff myself up, I'm trying to show that you had a blind spot and you should critically think about *why* that is. Pretending "everyone was fooled" absolves you of self-reflection.
people will say like "elon musk was beloved 10 years ago" but I hated him even then and if you ever loved him then I'm sorry but you were a credulous sucker. I hope you grew from this experience

Just bc you are not conservative. Just bc you consider yourself *woke*. Does not mean you are impervious to the white supremacy ingrained at every level of our society in big obvious ways, but also in more subtle understated ways. We, Black folks, run into the latter often.

The micro aggressions are actually more heinous because they use plausible deniability as a crutch to escape consequences
A lot of non-Black liberals fail to recognize and examine their own very obvious anti-Black biases, beliefs, actions, and thought patterns bc they’re (sometimes) not as cartoonishly racist as conservatives. But I hope you know that Black folks see it. We peep all of it. And we move accordingly.

This is why I 🙄 at "I get more likes on Twitter!!1!" defenses. Cool, but this is who (or rather WHAT) is talking to you. Just look at that botslop.
twitter must be dead dead cause someone posted a rat coin purse that would have 2019 twitter losing its collective mind and most of the top comments are bots saying random words or people not nearly amped enough about the rat coin purse

Look. I know most of you know this, but some people out there are only just going to hear it, this week. Yes really. Take the space. Use it.

Tell people still fawning over her shit that the harry potter lady is very likely a nonce coddler, at least, and that's on *Top* of being a transphobic bigot.
🤔 It’s definitely not suspicious at all to have people point out your common Twitter sign off is in the Epstein files and ten completely delete your yacht’s logs right?

That's a bit of rape culture I hate to tell ya, men being upset that men can't pass on their genes. So if ladies don't want your genes, what are you gonna do, force yourselves on them or force them to submit to what they don't want? Like what's the solution here.

Making it make sense: Epstein wasn't a global mastermind. He did not orchestrate a vast conspiracy that led us to today.

He was a very rich man with connections to other very rich men. The shared culture of these men is that they have a right to dominate and abuse others without consequence.

This is important. As humans, we like the idea of masterminds and grand schemes. Because it means we can solve societal problems just by defeating the big boss. But in reality, such problems can only be solved by uprooting systems--like financial capitalism--that create bad actors as externalities.
There was no mastermind or grand scheme, but there was a successful effort by wealthy men, including Epstein, to destroy a status quo that they feared was trending towards greater accountability.

Rape isn’t about sex. It’s about power. The power they get off on isn’t going to be found in a consensual relationship.

The thing about all these men is they could date anybody. They're rich, they're famous. They could bag socialites or models or actresses or whoever. Instead they single out the most vulnerable women and girls they can find. They cannot form relationships with women who are their peers.

A lot of people are choosing to miss the point here which is not “Every problem is super easy to solve and democrats refuse to do it” but that when there *is* a simple solution they will insist it’s much more complicated and the simple solution is impossible.
Dem leadership: changing this is a difficult process, you fool. You rube. You utter infant. Give us between $5 and $50

Mamdani, wiping grease off his hands: So it turns out there's a switch on this machine that puts it into either orphan-shredding mode or free school lunch mode. Just had to flip it

There's really no winning.

If you have an opinion without giving the credentials, you are told you don't know what you're talking about.

And if you give the credentials, you're told you're a "gatekeeper" and "professionalizing" and trying to shut newcomer leadership out.

I think a lot of men genuinely don't understand that women HAVE to credential ourselves in these conversations ("I say that as an organizer with over 20 years of experience").

Most especially in discourse about male-coded fields, organizing being one of them. We get dismissed outright if we don't.

yeah seeing the "Minneapolis took off because the so-called 'activists' got out of the way and let normal people in" takes is really frustrating. that's not at all an accurate look at what's happening in Mpls or anywhere else. All these movements rely on cores of people who have experience.
Lots of regular degular, never-done-an-activism folks have been activated in recent months and are working alongside a bunch of seasoned, die-hard, been-tired-for-ten-years-or-more organizers, and you don't know all of those stories bc most people are moving with a bit of discretion in these times.
