A "modest margin" when Mamdani beat his next closest challenger by 8 points in a three-person race. Trump won by just 1.5% and it was played off as a seismic realignment of American politics and culture.
Damn, I hate it when things that happen mean nothing :-(

This is an absolutely insane administrative process. Within the space of a week, states were told by judges/White House
*no SNAP benefits
*half benefits
*full benefits
*pause provision of benefits.
Result is chaos, uncertainty, and uneven access to benefits depending on where people live.
NEW: The Trump admin told states it must immediately "undo" the work to provide full food stamp benefits, or face penalties. The feds sent this in a late-night memo, only adding to the chaos and confusion around SNAP. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

man this administration is really racing to set the record straight: they really really don’t want hungry kids to be able to eat and they will punish you for it

Wait I thought he was imposing sharia law?
Fox News was criticising Mamdani as being a “champagne socialist” because there was alcohol at his campaign victory party, in case you were at all curious as to how flaccid and ludicrously out of touch the ruling class has become

NEWS — The Oregon Department of Human Services has issued 100% of November SNAP benefits, per an alert on their website. I've received reports that the funds have already hit recipients' EBT accounts.

Has New York Democratic Party chairman Jay Jacobs resigned over Mamdani yet? I hope he hasn't, so that he can instead resign over *improving Republican margins over Trump 2024 in an anti-Republican wave election*. Trump won Nassau by just 4%—now look at this bloodbath

to me this is the story of the election

there was never any way for Cuomo to win if he didn't win the Bronx, central Brooklyn and southern Queens

and he lost all three

Zohran convinced the crucial swing voters in this race that he was the Democrat and Cuomo was not, and that's why he won
