Please stop using language that suggests that people with criminal records are appropriate targets for this administration's violence. One in three adults has a criminal record. Stop playing sacrifice games with fascists. Stop surrendering entire categories of people in your own mind.

Folks I'm always available to be a distraction with a bunch of ideas that I cannot and will not implement, and I require FAR less money than this.

As a bonus, I won't directly or indirectly cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
If Musk meets all the benchmarks of his new $1 trillion pay package from Tesla he will be paid $274 MILLION EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS

Boiled peanuts (generally, though they're reasonably popular in some places) but specifically boiled peanuts from a roadside stand that says P-NUTS, off a 45mph state road in the south, served up from a vat of liquid of mysterious origin and age. Those bad boys hit like nothing else.

In all the endless discussions of LLMs, there’s a point that is, on one level, obvious, but that I feel does not get sufficiently foregrounded: LLMs are transforming material that people have put up on the internet.

We're just going to keep having pilot projects like this until capitalism eventually falls. Giving houses to the homeless is cheaper than anything else. Giving people healthcare is cheaper than not. Giving people basic income is cheaper than not. Taking care of society is financially prudent.
A program in Flint, MI, gave $1,500 to any/all pregnant people and $500/month for the first year of their infant’s life.

Among the benefits, those babies experienced lower rates of prematurity and low birth weight, which resulted in fewer NICU admissions, saving the city of Flint $6.2 million/year.

It's been nice seeing other designers react positively to this. I appreciate knowing my peers agree on this front.
management hates to see me coming with:
-There are no design emergencies
-it's just an app, calm down
-this software isn't saving lives
-our deadlines are just some guy's opinion

Remember how if a kid choked on a little plastic toy they used to stop selling the toy
Something about the two stories about ChatGPT's involvement in suicides/murder that came out this week that really stuck out to me: OpenAI basically has a boilerplate response when their product gets people killed.
