Hey fans (and future fans) of Central Europe: We’ve got a new Moon Guide to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest out in the world!

Some of the guiding principles I used:

1 awesome public transport and walkability, so no car required to do all the fun stuff

www.moon.com/titles/jenni...
Cover of the Moon Guide to Prague, Vienna, & Budapest showing the Prague Castle dominating the skyline, the authors Jennifer D Walker and Auburn Scallon, and the buzzwords “palaces & castles” “art & music” and “coffeehouses & beer gardens” — cue music for these are a few of my favorite things!

All the Broadway babies know this is a bonding experience:

“Sitting in the computer lab,
4am before the final paper is due, cursing the world 'cause I didn't start sooner, and seeing the rest of the class there, too!”

Greta Thunberg, deported to Greece, says the targeting of the Sumud Flotilla is "not the story" @teenvogue.com — instead, she says:

"Israel once again violated international humanitarian law by preventing aid from getting into Gaza while people are being starved.”
Greta Thunberg On Her Detention: I'm "Not The Story" — It's Israel Violating International Humanitarian Law
“I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuses in our imprisonment. Trust me. But that is not the story.”

Let’s give these motherfuckers bribing and kidnapping children as much attention as possible
theintercept.com
With deportation continuing apace amid the federal government shutdown, advocates speculated that the latest scheme to pay off immigrant children was deliberately timed by ICE and its parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security, to minimize public attention.
ICE Targets Unaccompanied Immigrant Children, Offering Payment for Deportation
ICE confirmed its plan to pay unaccompanied immigrant children in exchange for their agreement to be deported.

i had this exact question so fyi in case you do too: if your book was in the atlantic list but published after 2021, it's not part of the settlement www.anthropiccopyrightsettlement.com/faq#q-49
51.
My work was on The Atlantic’s list of LibGen files. Why is it not on the Works List?
The Works List only includes works that meet the Class definition (as identified in FAQ 5). A work on The Atlantic’s list of LibGen files may not meet the Class definition for many reasons, including, for example:

Anthropic did not download any works from LibGen after July 2021. To compile its list, The Atlantic used metadata from LibGen as that database existed in 2025. Between July 2021 and 2025, more books were added to LibGen. Your work would not be part of the Class, and therefore not on the Works List, if it was added to LibGen after July 2021 (and also not present in the files Anthropic downloaded from PiLiMi in August 2022).

Looking to speak to organizers & other experts for Teen Vogue about actions young workers can take when everything, including work, feels pointless/overwhelming. Tips on getting through the day? Is it about plugging into community beyond work? [email protected] or DM

I hate this for you (but totally get it). 😢 Hoping some art, friends, and joy sneak their way into your day and overshadow all of… *gestures wildly*

Wages start at $16/hour for generalist raters & $21/hour for super raters, according to workers.

“They are people with expertise who are doing a lot of great writing work, who are being paid below what they’re worth to make an AI model that, in my opinion, the world doesn’t need,”

“AI isn’t magic; it’s a pyramid scheme of human labor,” said Adio Dinika, a researcher at the Distributed AI Research Institute based in Bremen, Germany. “These raters are the middle rung: invisible, essential and expendable.”
