I feel like people are underselling how terrifying this whole situation must have been. I would 100% have thought the bus driver was going to kill all of us.

When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.
Of course this is a thing I hate this timeline
Having a hero run an AI business is right up there with making a hero a cop in terms of how much it deflates my interest in a book almost immediately.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

If your true top priority in life is having babies with a Jesus-loving outdoorsy Trump voter who works hard but isn’t antisocial about it, move to a midsize city in a red state. Finding a man like this is only hard if you refuse to give up the perks of being a girlboss in a liberal stronghold.

cancelling Disney+ and Hulu is well and good but it’s not a huge hit on an individual level

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.
