🧵🚓 Last week saw the news that the police weren't going to bother investing the theft of bikes at train stations, if the bike has been left for more than two hours (so basically all bikes at train stations).

Relative child poverty has remained stubbornly high over the last twenty years and has risen over the past decade.

Without action, levels will soon break records.

Scrapping the two-child limit in full would be the most targeted and cost-effective way of reducing child poverty.

The Government is looking at scrapping the two-child limit on benefits.

Doing so in full would be the most targeted and cost-effective way for the Government to meet its aim of reducing child poverty.

The UK is an international outlier when it comes to protection from unfair dismissal.

Our two-year ‘qualifying period’ for unfair dismissal protection is completely out of step with other rich countries, where qualifying periods between three and six months are the norm.

You don’t actually have to both sides this. The Jewish community in the UK is not the Israeli government. You can just condemn the murder of two British Jews killed in their place of worship and you don’t have to say a single other thing.
