Just found out that Verizon will no longer support the equipment needed to use my TiVo, and they say that Comcast, my only alternative, is doing likewise. It looks like telecoms are killing TiVo by fiat, and stealing from every customer who paid for lifetime TiVo service. Bastards.

You guys, my kid just discovered a *whole book* of poems in French that, when read in French, sound like mother goose rhymes in English (but said with a heavy French accent). They are grammatical in French! 😵💫 The one below is Humpty Dumpty. This is depraved and wonderful. I love/hate it.

It once read “BUT POPISH FRENZY WHICH WROUGHT SUCH HORRORS IS NOT YET QUENCHED”.
Blaming the Catholics for the fire of London. This last line was only deleted in 1830.
