Unless Santa straps a green light to Rudolph's tail and has Rudolph fly sideways with his nose pointed to the left of the sled, he is technically in violation of 14 CFR 25.1385(b), SERA.3215, and ICAO Annex 2, 3.2.3.1 (b) requiring positional lights for all aircraft operating at night.

I don't think free speech on campus ought to mean that a young coddled bigot gets to use their ignorance to casually destroy the career of a knowledgeable trans person on a random Wednesday
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.

I refuse to believe the majority of people think every single wheelchair user is completely immobile. This is able-bodied people bitching because they can see people they think of lesser getting a tiny advantage they don't get, and inventing an ad hoc justification to take it away.

YOU DUMB FUCKS. THIS IS ME.

I have a scooter. I can walk. I can't, however, walk through 80 miles of airport. I can walk onto an airplane or through hallways. I can't walk the .5 mile to the convention center.

People, get smarter, it's embarrassing at this point.

Let’s help Kivan to have a happy birthday.
It's my birthday on Friday, anything I raise beyond my phone bill ($41.30) will just go to making sure it isn't overwhelmingly depressing (this is the worst time of year in the meat department)
Hi, I have spent literally the very last of my money on rent. If you can help me survive to the end of the month with a share or donation, I would be very grateful. Thank you so much.

This framing is dishonest. It was a bipartisan bill. Enough Republicans actually defected and voted no to kill the bill. Three Democrats crossed over to save it.

They should be stripped of their committee assignments and thrown out of the party, quite frankly.
Today House Republicans voted 216-211 to pass MTG’s bill to criminalize gender-affirming care for minors nationwide, marking the first time a national ban on care for trans youth has reached — and passed — the House floor.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's Bill Punishing Doctors And Parents Clears House Floor
If passed, the bill would punish doctors and parents who provide or consent to a minor receiving gender-affirming care.

This is efficient. It is trained narrowly and specifically, reducing electrical waste. It does not replace meteorologists because it relies on them to provide data and interpret the results. Not everything with AI in the name is bad and AI is not ChatGPT, that's just Sam Altman's marketing tactic.

Imagine if just once a story like this actually bothered to like, actually understand why some people work to be estranged from abusive families. Instead no, we're just dunking on folks like me.

I'm a domestic abuse survivor and lemme say with my full chest: Fuck reporting like this.
Welcome to the pissed-off parent pushback: After years of therapists and others encouraging adult children to cut ties with families they deem harmful or “toxic,” estranged parents are speaking out on.wsj.com/4s49U52

Parents publicly blast their adult offspring for cutting them off, drawing tens of thousands of online followers.

This column on Vox is the biggest pile of steaming AI crap I've seen this year. Human's aren't running out of ideas. Instead, those with power and money don't want to listen to ideas that threaten their power and money.

Ideas are plentiful. Putting those ideas into action is the hard part.
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

We’re not even *close* to running out of good ideas. The issue is smart people’s ideas being systematically persecuted, under-resourced, and blocked from opportunity by fascists. Do not believe propaganda in the “Future Perfect” section of Vox that’s underwritten by Effective Altruism extremists.

You should be embarrassed for writing this dreck. It’s not up to you to decide how much antiblackness Cinnabon customers should be forced to endure because you feel sorry for some dumb white broad who couldn’t keep her racist opinions to herself. Shame on you.

Stay in your lane.
I wrote about why we should not celebrate someone losing their job, especially in today’s America, even when they’ve done terrible racist things.

Losing a job should also be harder and involve workers’ bodies not unilateral management decisions.

When this "AI" bubble pops, the men pretending they weren't pushing the hype, like "critics" whose position is "AGI is real but LLMs aren't the way," who were in eugenicist and "AI existential risk"🙄 circles, will get specials discussing what they saw coming, when its the women who told you so.

Then the other part of this is that you have people like Elon Musk, who also claims to be building an AGI that will be superior to us and understands things we can't and tells us what to do, but every time his AI tells him something he doesn't like, manually hardcodes it to say exactly what he wants

The fucking infuriating thing about this is that we have not, in any sense, reach an “age of thinking machines”. Generative AI does not think in any human sense of the word. The idea that it does is purely a marketing ploy.
Close enough
December 11, 2025 at 5:30 PM
This’ll be interesting and terrible. As discussed by expert many time before, there isn’t actually a way to put meaningful and foolproof guardrails on generative AI. Hope Disney is ready for their characters to be doing some very not-Disney stuff in user created videos…

This is one of the most annoying claims Altman and friends make because it implies that there's a simple solution to climate change that doesn't involve any tough choices or sacrifices by industry or political leaders or regular people and the only problem is we're not smart enough to think it up
While spinning a BS narrative about how eventually once we've diverted 90% of the world's electricity into data centers, we'll get "AGI" and AGI will give us some magic easy solution to stop climate change.

Yet you're going to read endless stories in the months to come that treat the review process as a completely normal one.
