Genuinely happy that the 7 year long development time was spent working at a leisurely pace, spending time with their families and flexing their creative muscles - with no pressure to expand their company, deliver sooner or read a single reddit post. Smartest people in our entire industry.
BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really.

Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are.

This is their story: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Why ‘Silksong’ Took Seven Years to Make
The highly anticipated indie game has been in production for so long that it’s become an internet meme

Fun fact: if you're buying from a creator on etsy, you can reduce their etsy selling fees from 6.5% to 2.5% by ordering via 'shopname.etsy.com' instead of 'etsy.com/shopname' or searching from the main site. It costs you the same but the creator makes more

In Aotearoa trans people have a 50% income gap compared to the national average. Material support makes a *huge* difference.
While it's nice to see more noise about how terrible JKR is, as a trans woman I would appreciate it if there was less focus on "here's what you can read instead" and more "here's how you can materially help trans people".

We're the victims here, please stop centring the purity of your bookshelves.

1) is it that incendiary? 2) Aren't some "ostensibly-straight" women also aroused by the thought of themselves as women?

always interesting to learn about people's experiences with gender-affirming surgery (beyond the "5 days post op and healing up great!" photos everyone posts), but this one's really worth listening all the way to the end. got some words I really needed to hear today.
In the first guest episode of TQ, Sarah talks to cartoonist @irisjaycomics.bsky.social about gender affirming surgeries-- what they are, what they entail, how they feel, and whether or not you should get one (if you're asking, it's probably a yes). This is a frank conversation, so heed the CWs!

Important that people recognise this was published nearly a year ago. You're only just noticing it now because the media completely buried it because it's not convenient to their narrative. Tell people about it.

I wonder how many people have ever experienced their brain physically running out of energy making it so they cannot use their mind and have to lie still, unthinking, unfeeling - merely existing in a body.  This I believe is a torture no one but #MECFS patients understand.
