Despite a pretty shit week mentally, I've not felt this focused on anything creative in awhile... so I felt the need to ask quite an important question regarding an aspect of video presentation for when I eventually come back.

LISTENING TO A 'NEW TO ME' ALBUM, EVERYDAY OF 2026:

Day 6 - Modern pop in a bitesized package. Fine for when you need it... but was left yearning for more given the lack of dynamism or experimentation on offer.

LISTENING TO A 'NEW TO ME' ALBUM, EVERYDAY OF 2026:

Day 5 - Sometimes the expectations surrounding an 'all-time classic' album can lead to feeling intrigued yet underwhelmed. Different Class by Pulp was definitely that. I respect what this album offers, but wanted more.

LISTENING TO A 'NEW TO ME' ALBUM, EVERY DAY OF 2026:

Day 4 - Unsurprising that a band founded by Helloween's former singer/guitarist, ended up making the first album with him singing lead SOUNDING like his former band; with diminishing returns despite really enjoying some songs.

After noticing my Spotify Wrapped was stagnant with the same top artists and songs... I've decided to listen to an album 'I've never heard front-to-back' EVERY SINGLE DAY of 2026; to broaden my musical horizons.

It starts now, and hopefully I can see it through.

This is a firm demonstration for how harmful streaming can be for films and shows. They can disappear without a moments notice and they have nowhere else to be legally seen. This is why streaming needs to put more stuff out on physical media cause art shouldn't be lost to time.

Yearly reminder that Whammageddon begins today. Good luck to all who participate.

I just know my two trips to the hospital this week will catch me out. Hospital Radio at Christmas? It's a certainty that I'll hear it. If not it'll be a bloody miracle.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

I sorta think the fact that they pivoted from NFTs to AI without even pausing is part of why more people aren’t buying “AI is the future.”

“Okay, the thing we just spent 2 years telling you was the future turned out to be nothing at best and a scam at worst, but this time we have a real one!”

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

The thing about the Linehan case is that either the Judge is sympathetic to 'gender critical' ideology or British law thinks it's perfectly acceptable for a 57 year old man to stalk, doxx and physically attack a 17 year old girl.

Both explanations are horrifying.
