I see a lot of similarities between her and JD Vance because I was also raised in poverty/violence and managed to escape it, and often people with this experience can either credit their escape with luck and privilege or believing they're simply better than those they left behind

Imagine if NPR had actually talked to safe streets advocates for this story and learned how the solutions to drivers killing people is not, in fact, victim blaming
