I'm currently at the ER taking care of a family member—we don't know what medications we will need to get afterwards, I'm still working through commissions but if anyone can chip in via PayPal or Cashapp it would lift a huge burden from us this Thanksgiving.

Two exhibits worth checking out currently on at the Autry Museum of the American West: Black Cowboys: An American Story (until January 4th) and Future Imaginaries: Indigenous Art, Fashion, Technology (until June 21). Also the museum is free from 1-4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

A few years back I started making ribs in the slow cooker, in part because I didn't have the patience for turkey and in part because I knew they wouldn't be sold out everywhere the week of. And it frees up the oven/stovetop for any other sides I want to make.
my contribution to the turkey discourse: many people are not good at cooking a whole turkey and if that is you you do not have to do so! you have many other options in both protein and method! but let the people who CAN make it a very good dish do so in peace thanks
