When I was in college, and a few years after, and drinking recreationally quite a bit, I never came anywhere *near* that top decile number for a single week. Some nights with as many drinks as that week’s average day? Sure. Over a whole week? Christ almighty.

The irony is: had a Dem done what Peters did, it’d be the first and only evidence of fraud that Trump thinks nullifies the election outcome
She’s exactly where she deserves to be, but how wild is it that the President of the United States is wishing citizens the worst and wants them to rot in hell?

Wild times, folks…

I would date someone who disagrees with me on the federal budget or trade policy or a bond issue.

I would not date someone who believes it's appropriate to refer to human beings as "illegals" or votes for a rapist or believes in detaining people for their non-violent speech.

That's the difference.

Everyone has a list of so-called "red flags" when they're dating. And for some, especially younger Americans, different political views is a relationship deal breaker.

Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

They admitted it.

Sometimes I think about how even when Trump and his crew are overthrown, the rest of the world will never trust American voters and politicians again and soft power was its most successful foreign policy, and while the ideologues in charge don’t understand that, Putin does

Trump granted clemency to the biggest Medicare fraudster in history. Well, the guy was just re-arrested and charged with domestic violence. Here, via @motherjones.com, is the wild, sordid tale of how Phil Esformes made a fortune screwing taxpayers and nursing home residents.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

We don't have a government. We have a bunch of guys who heard things on social media.
We don't have due process. We have entire groups being punished for the alleged actions of a few.
BREAKING

The Trump administration says it has frozen all childcare payments to Minnesota in the aftermath of allegations of fraud by some in the Somali community.

Important: allegations along these lines have existed for years, which has resulted in prosecutions starting with the Biden DOJ.

A diminished workforce has struggled to respond to up to 6 million pending cases in its processing centers and 12 million transactions in its field offices — record backlogs that have delayed basic services to millions of customers.

i think what gets overlooked is that part of the humor and charm of edits like these is that you're perfectly aware that someone sat down and spent their own time making it. they chose to do something cool or silly or stupid or genius, regardless of the results

that human element elevates the work
Who needs AI when we had stuff like this? I’ll take photoshop edits over the slop any day
