i am once again saying that if you allow polling to define rights, you don't have any real rights at all
the problem with the "trans sports participation is a loser / 80-20 issue" framing is that it ignores how it got that way. it didn't just happen out of nowhere. It's been a 5+ year campaign by Republicans to make it an 80-20 issue, and noone fought back.

No wonder I had an anxiety disorder - I spent the last 10 years seeing this coming and feeling like I couldn’t do enough to stop it.

I think many of the scholars on authoritarianism believing the US would be a competitive autocracy like Hungary are wrong. Had DeSantis been elected, that would've been the case. This moment has much more of the makings of a downward spiral into totalitarianism.
