An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

These technologies can and are being used to create lifelike images and videos of actual living women and girls. For what I think are pretty obvious gendered civil rights reasons, it needs to be a recognized civil cause of action to create an AI image or avatar of a woman without her consent.

Absolutely. I took a self-defense course once and the instructor was a bit nutty. But he was very clear on the use of violence:
1 - scream/yell for help if you can, and run
2 - if you can't run, swing arms wildly (act crazy)
3 - if you can't get away, focus on vitals: genitals, throat, eye sockets.
