The thing with these guys is they view communications media (speech, fiction, film, TV series, drama, you name it) as data transmission and nothing more. The Great Gatsby is a list of events and characters and if you can cut that down to 500 words, you're maximizing something.

My take on this is that at the end of the day Netflix is still deciding any show’s fate, because them choosing whether to blast something to top billing on everyone’s app vs no one’s means more than any grassroots social media campaigning. But they want the free advertising still. Bleak!
I really enjoyed this show, I don’t enjoy the trend of Netflix shows pretty much threatening people with cancellation if they don’t recruit enough people to watch their show. Happened with the Vince Staple show as well and shit is getting off putting.

I thought Drive Away Dolls was good but there were some moments where it trips over its own feet and loses all momentum, and there’s not a lot of runway in a short movie to get that back. I’d call it…uneven. The third act is where it shines
