Even though I never studied abroad, one of the highlights of my time in University was meeting people from all across Europe, and it really saddened me that future generations wouldn’t experience that. I’m really glad that the UK is now beginning to chip away at the damage from Brexit.

Good. But will it be a white wash? Or, if it is a reasonable investigation, will the results be made public? What ever happened to the unredacted Russia report? And what about that charlatan Johnson dismissing interference in the Brexit vote? Little trust that the truth will emerge sadly.
Better late than never.

Britain has ordered a review into foreign financial interference in politics, following the conviction of a former member of the right-wing Reform UK party (Nathan Gill) for taking bribes to promote Russian interests in the European Parliament.

Here’s The S*n’s pathetic, microscopic apology for one of the biggest lies in modern British politics - the “benefits tourism” fairy tale that conned millions and helped drag us into Brexit. They poison democracy with front-page lies, then whisper “sorry” in tiny print.

Actually when I was on my course today my mentor asked me to look at what geo political changes I could anticipate which might affect my business and I used brexit as a prime example. Suddenly cut off from millions of potential customers throughout the EU and overnight restricted to the UK market.
Brexit has ...
Decreased GDP
Increased inflation
Increased immigration
Increased skills shortages
Decreased investment
Increased red tape
Hurt farmers
Hurt fishermen
Hurt musicians
Hurt business travellers
Hurt exports
Hurt imports
Decreased our world standing
Increased our dependency on America

Tory hard Brexit didn’t even include our national security, let alone do anything to promote it - in an uncertain world internationalism is vital to our shared safety. Proud to stand with European colleagues at the parliamentary partnership assembly in pledging to tackle this.

There is no evidence that stripping refugees' rights one by one will have any impact on people crossing the channel.

Taking jewellery from refugees is akin to painting over murals for refugee children.

These repugnant ‘deterrents’ did not work for the Tories, and they won't work for us.

One of my favourite YouTubers asks an important question: “did Brexit break Britain?”

I think any unbiased observer can see that YES obviously it broke us. Those sunlit uplands, promised by Project Leave, have never appeared.

Now Labour have admitted as much. Finally!

In two years before Starmer we had 3 PMs, 4 Chancellors, 3 Foreign Secretaries, 5 Home Secretaries, 5 Education Secretaries, 5 Cabinet Secretaries, etc. - total 221 ministerial departures.

Maybe Beth is on a diet.
