Politicians are debating the lawfulness of secondary strikes, but all strikes are illegal.

This is not war. The U.S. is murdering people at sea.

Tell Congress to stop the Trump admin from leading us into another forever war.
Tell Congress: Stop illegal military strikes in the Caribbean and Pacific
Since Sept. 2, the U.S. has bombed multiple boats in the Caribbean and the Pacific, killing at least 83 people. The Trump administration claims this is part of a new “armed conflict” with “narco-traff...

Not visual art, but, Django Reinhardt had two working fingers on his left hand; the drummer from Def Leppard had ONE FUCKIN’ ARM. There are no excuses. “Gen” A.I. is anti-art.
If one more able bodied person attempts to tell me, a disabled artist, that genAI is an accessibility tool, I'm gonna start smashing their hands with hammers. You wanna speak about disability issues, fine, you get to become one of us.

Some people saying they’d now never send a kid to Dartmouth. I’m dismayed by the local news, but AI in higher ed is horrifically pervasive. It’s a universal problem demanding broad action, not one that can be solved via careless brand curation.
My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

I think that's why he seems, for the first time in ages, genuinely rattled by this stuff. Because it shows him doing the less socially permissible form of racism, and reminds everyone that this skill had to be learned

Esmarch bandages with DIY first-aid instruction diagrams printed on them are amazing and little known! I'll feature one made in Chicago in my Printing on Fabric exhibition at #NewberryLibrary (opens Dec. 2026), but they started as wartime aides in late 19th c. Germany, and were printed 2 at a time!

Apparently the decision of the WI to rescind trans inclusion was prompted in part by an internal faction. If I were a cis member of the WI, I would want those bigots named, shamed and shunned.

Aggressively promoting transphobia should have social sanctions applied to it.

You can’t tell if someone is disabled just by looking at them.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”.

You are not entitled to a person’s entire medical history just so you can decide whether to believe them or not.

People are not faking disability, most are trying to fake being well.

I'm old enough to remember having a reasonable expectation that a Labour government would be better than a Tory one.

A Health Secretary who repeatedly implies that chronically under-diagnosed things like ADHD are somehow over-diagnosed, bans trans healthcare & promotes NHS privatisation is not it.

Your seasonal reminder that Quality Street chocolates are a cash-in on a hit play by J M Barrie, and used to feature the characters on the box. So a bit like people in 2100 buying 2.22 A Ghost Story chocolates every Christmas with Lily Allen on the tin.

This.

It’s currently the 16 Days of Action. An international campaign to reduce violence against women and girls (VAWG).

The main VAWG perpetrators in the UK are partners, ex-parters, family members or acquaintances.

Women and girls are at most risk in their homes, not Hampstead’s Bathing Pools.
“I question the energy that is being dedicated to harming vulnerable people and children rather than tackling the much bigger and very real risks facing women and girls.”

Tell that to the heartbroken daughter of a friend who’s quit guides because of this shameful move, Joanne. She can’t bear to see trans girls excluded.

Your Harry Potter money funds this shit. Don’t buy in.
But what if the "thing of their own" is a friendship with a girl in Guides who happens to be trans?

I honestly think Rowling has lost touch with how real people's lives actually work.

And, also, Rowling's movement is gearing up to get girls kicked out of Scouts, so this "answer" is horseshit.
