Labour can announce all the harsher immigration policies they want but Reform voters won’t be happy until they can see no Black and/or Muslim people in their town centre some of whom have great-grandparents born in the UK
Prime Minister Keir Starmer is preparing tougher measures on immigration to stem a record flow of arrivals across the English Channel and stave off the threat posed by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party after it made sweeping gains in this week’s local elections.

Starmer's pointing in the wrong direction.

Lancashire Council's new Reform overlords were voted in by just 12% of the electorate due to the very low turnout.

Starmer needs to focus on the huge number of disaffected Labour voters who think he's gone Tory and don't bother voting.

Yesterday Mark Carney was told, “Mr Carney, there’s a genocide in Palestine”.

“I’m aware,” Carney told the protester, “That’s why we have an arms embargo.”

This has really, really upset Benjamin Netanyahu, so don't RT unless you hate him.

Donald Trump is having a $92m military parade for his birthday with tanks in the streets.

The liar Piers Morgan said, "In the UK we do it all the time."

There has never been a military parade in the streets for a Politician in the UK.

NEVER.

Brace yourself for public figures to be even smaller and more cowardly than you thought possible, and some neighbors and family, too. (Even if you thought they couldn't disappoint you any more than they have.) But we can't give ground. This is deliberate evil. They're testing how far they can go.
Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process.

This is not lawful.

Result of political choices - low wages, austerity, unchecked profiteering, benefit cuts, inequitable distribution of wealth.

Future blighted.

There aren’t a lot of countries Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, can visit without risking arrest by the International Criminal Court. This makes the red-carpet treatment he received in Hungary and the U.S. all the more noteworthy.

I think Ive figured out Trump's policy. As he was so bad at business and went bankrupt regularly, he assumed everyone else is as economically ignorant--and if cut out of the US market, they will fold. What he has forgotten, is that others are not as ill prepared or foolish as he.

If I wanted to help the Chinese economy, arguably the best thing I could do was decouple the US economy from the rest of the world, put up crippling US trade barriers, destroy the US reputation for business sense and cooperation, and force US allies to do more trade with China.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

It doesn’t and, in short, it won’t. If one market, even a large one, puts up barriers to trade while others, also large ones, don’t, then it’s not so much a global trade war as a unilateral trade suicide. Like water, trade will find a way around the obstacle and keep flowing.
You know what? There are not that many people in the US as a proportion of the world. Only 3 to 4%. It doesn’t have to have the role in global trade that it has had.

-We may have a 10% Brexit 'dividend' but the cost of that dividend is the significant lost output since Brexit and trade dislocation with the EU, which the somewhat more generous US treatment does not even nearly compensate for.
