Call to Action:

Sheriff Dawanna Witt is seeking re-election in Hennepin County. She and her deputies have been refusing to enforce trespass orders from HCMC. Their treatment of protesters at Whipple has been shameful, making it harder for people released to get through safely.

TONIGHT, at 5pm, at the Famous Dave's in Minnetonka, MN, she is hosting a kickoff party.

With that information, I encourage people to ask her about the HCSO's relationship with ICE and enforcing trespass orders against them. I encourage peaceful demonstrations.

Fuck ICE and their collaborators.

I don’t know. Maybe you’re blissfully unaffected by what’s happening here.

But the occupation has changed every single fabric of our lives.

Nothing goes untouched by it. A trip to the grocery store has calculations you can’t possibly imagine.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

this patrol stuff is starting to feel like neighborhood watch in 2020 where people who typically don't notice what's happening around them much suddenly are and they're suspicious of everything and everyone around them and now they're talking to random people at bus stops at 10am and quizzing them

Dear fellow Twin Citizens, do not forget your meds this morning (including caffeine).
Just realized (one very small) part of why I'm feeling off is having neglected caffeine and Advil this morning.

Perusing Twin Cities local news, i think there’s a huge disconnect. There are schools shut down and going remote, neighborhoods that are ghost towns, because we have federal agents terrorizing the community. But it’s just a single story a day at best

Respectfully, Congresswoman, you voted with Republicans to strip due process from immigrants and to praise Trump's ICE. This year.

Now you're upset?

Votes have consequences. Minnesotans deserve better.
ICE agents followed a Burnsville family home from the store, failed to present a warrant and entered their home with guns drawn. They detained 4 legal citizens who presented documentation, leaving a 7 year-old without parents.

A seven-year-old. Let that sink in. Trump’s ICE is out of control.

Chris Meyer uses a revenue argument as a reason to approve new development. He tells the city council they're about to have some really difficult budget decisions. Think of your most important priorities. Then consider the revenue that comes from a new apartment building in Linden Hills.
