These books are very lovable.

(Tomb Raider flavored urban fantasy, the Livi Talbot series. I freaking ADORE THEM)
I...kind of love this book? 🤔🤣

Ideas are, no question, the cheap part. I have SPREADSHEETS of ideas, and if I keep up my current production rate, which is already unrealistically high, I will die before I finish using them all. EXECUTION is the important part.

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

It will be the most Day family thing ever if we have to go to a store on Christmas Day because we're worried about running out of white wine and butter

There are 53 stock art photos of me on Getty Images and there are 83,600 of Taylor Swift, and as it turns out this is a staggeringly precise representation of the difference between our levels of fame

That song I keep sharing, "No Kings," is by Jesse Welles, the Dylan/Baez of this era (which is likely why Joan sings with him on it).

I just bought one of his albums, "Pilgrim," on @bandcamp.com & went back in to buy it again for my nephew—& saw this ⬇️

Buy his music, feed kids. Merry Christmas ❤️

@thesicktimes.org is one of the only newsrooms dedicated to widescale coverage of #LongCOVID. They need our support in their end of year fundraiser.

I see there’s a post about microplastics going around with a photo of drinking straws, so here is my semi-regular reminder that the 3 biggest sources of microplastics are tires (45%), synthetic clothing particles (35%) and paint (~10%).
Lay article attached:
One of the biggest microplastic pollution sources isn’t straws or grocery bags – it’s your tires
Every few years, the tires on your car wear thin and need to be replaced. But where does that lost tire material go? The answer, unfortunately, is often waterways, where the tiny microplastic particle...

The Lion in Winter (1968)

Katherine Hepburn plays Eleanor of Aquitaine, released from prison to celebrate Christmas with her husband, King Henry the II. Full of insane one-liners and a star studded cast, this movie demands your full attention as love and hate ensnare each character. 10/10

Parisot (the Director) tells a story about how Tim Allen just started crying after a scene one day

"I don't like these feelings i'm having." Says Tim. "I'm going back to my trailor" and walks off.

There's silence for a second.

"Oh my god." Says Rickman. "I think Tim just experienced acting."
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.

If ICE gets to decide against all evidence that your documentation is fake, just because they say so, then there is no law. For anyone, but especially for Black and brown people the Supreme Court has declared are warrantless arrest targets.
Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales was born in Maryland. She has a valid U.S. birth certificate, medical and immunization records, and sworn affidavits.

Yet, ICE claims her documents are “not authentic” and has held her in immigration detention for days.
