I'm not one for false optimism. But what I witnessed today in Minneapolis was tremendous, both in scale and exuberance. It was a stunning answer to the federal assault on Minnesota, a show of solidarity that gives us something to hold on to during times that are unforgiving.

I’ve seen the Google Doc being shared about Spider-Man’s abusive behavior following his switch to the black suit and his involvement in the Sandman bank robbery and while it’s not as serious, I need to come clean - a few years ago, even before the black suit, I saw Spider-Man steal someone’s pizzas

I think the shows are doing something right if antis have to increasingly grasp at straws to hate it. I mean, falling for in-universe propaganda is not something you do when you’re trying to critique a show in good faith. All they have is the same narrative now.

An all-too-common mistake is inferring the sexuality of historical figures based on contemporary standards that didn’t apply back then. For example, in the 1970s it was normal for a cop, a biker, a Native American, a construction worker, and a cowboy to be friends. It didn’t mean they were gay.
