Some don't make the connection because they don't bother to think about it, some because it's in their own best interest not to.

But I'd wager most do, and would rather stand as king of the wasteland than let those they deem "less worthy" live in peace and comfort.

Guys no billionaire is "leaving California," they're at best gonna leave California for exactly 185 days a year and domicile at some mansion resort in Utah or Montana or USVI but still be in California a lot (but also this will be too big of a hassle for many and they'll just pay the tax)

To clarify: Calibri is a *much* better font than Times New Roman and making text more readable is an important goal.

So… it’s not (just) a joke. The US government continues to punch down.

Marco Rubio ordered diplomats to return to using Times New Roman font in official communications, calling his predecessor's decision to adopt Calibri a “wasteful” diversity move

CW says the opposite about pro-ana - we must go to any lengths to wipe it out, for the participants' own good.

Suicidal for centrists to be begging for moderation when now would be a great time to pass some big, ambitious policies and remind people why Democrats are better than Republicans.

We literally do disagree about this, though. Some politicians want to take food from children and some politicians don't. Pretending this "isn't political" just allows the child-starving ghouls to get away with it.

Tell people who supports the *political program* to feed children and who doesn't!

$11 billion to raise and widen a highway, through a wetland, during a climate crisis.

Imagine spending $11 billion on workforce housing in Marin/Sonoma/Napa/San Francisco so the people driving across 37 every day to get to work ... could just live where they work.

California is a climate pariah.
The entire proposed Highway 37 Solano-Marin super bridge is estimated to cost $11 billion, all to replace an existing road between a couple of suburbs. And it's proposed at 114 feet wide.

For comparison, the Golden Gate Bridge is 90 feet wide.
Caltrans has released a cross section for the ultimate (raised viaduct) version of SR-37.

Now maybe I'm just being paranoid, but if you were building a road that you planned to keep at 4 lanes wide, I don't think it would look like this.
