the partner bought the new Katamari game with a gift card he got as a present and I've already played it for 5 hours... on top of also being in the middle of my first Metaphor ReFantasio playthrough.

And please also, AGAIN, never forget that they are inherently unethical to use because no one gave permission for their research or writing to be used in it. It is all stolen, and if you're using the plagiarism machine, please keep that in mind.
My friends, I say this with all the love in my heart: Right now might not be the moment for “But we should be TOLERANT and NUANCED about the plagiarism machines!”

Your tolerance and “nuance” will be weaponised by the grifters and their apologists. Please respect yourselves more.

look not to say that she isn’t doing the right thing here but it is baffling to me that anyone three years ago let alone in the year of our Lord 2025 still uses Twitter
This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

It's down thread but I'm stealing "the process of searching is the process of learning" as one of the aphorisms I annoy my students by overusing, second only to "writing is thinking".
So one of the things that I think is lost on AI proponents is what I call the card catalog effect, a thing I shouldn’t call it because a lot of people probably have no experience with a card catalog.

Everyone is all about Viggo's toe, but my *my* favourite LotR "did you know" is that Ian McKellan and Christopher Lee won Fight Of The Year, and their combined ages was more than the combined ages of everyone else who was nominated.

Guys there isn’t a billionaire I’m not willing to strip of their wealth. Even if they’re doing things with their money I like.
Nonetheless, I'm willing to strip billionaires of all their wealth to allow them to shine.

The funny thing is there are absolutely traits skills and characteristics that financially super successful people have and they are:

money
being born into money
knowing other people with money
Michael C. Rockefeller got shipwrecked in 1963, washed up on an island, and was promptly eaten by cannibals.

This is probably one of the topics I hope to tackle in the local paper, ie how LLM evangelism is more about marketing and selling the promise of labor discipline than it is a utopian technology
When the AI boom began, copywriters were singled out as one of the jobs most vulnerable to AI. Now, three years later, I wanted to hear from workers on the frontlines of the industry, to hear what had actually taken place on the ground.

For many, it was even worse than they'd feared.
"I was forced to use AI until the day I was laid off." Copywriters reveal how AI has decimated their industry
Copywriters were one of the first to have their jobs targeted by AI firms. These are their stories, three years into the AI era.

Spotify is garbage on every count: Its treatment of artists, its ICE advertising, the CEO's investment in military AI, its leading role in the commodification and AI slopification of music, its terrible audio quality—you name it.

So I quit, and put together a complete guide to getting off Spotify:

I have literally seen shitposts on Bluesky cited by Gemini as factual, in statements screenshotted by the original shitposter themselves and reposted to Bluesky.

Never, ever, ever, EVER trust AI, gang.
A """funny""" thing I've noticed is that if you see a buckwild and totally made up claim on Reddit and then search that claim on Google, trying to source it, the Gemini AI summary will be like "oh, yeah, that totally happened, and my source is that three hour old Reddit thread you were just reading"
