Went to the library this afternoon in [redacted] nearby suburb. Tables of kids doing homework, a jigsaw puzzle 🧩 going on, refugees practising their English with volunteers plus many many well curated book displays.

I just realized a new social media platform means that not everyone here has been exposed to my annual Thanksgiving food tips thread. They are always the same tips. But they're good tips, especially if you're someone who doesn't do a lot of major multi-course meals throughout the year.

One of the goals of modern authoritarianism and modern propaganda is to wear out those who might otherwise have raised alarms about the actions of the government. Researchers, journalists, pundits and thinkers are the target and the goal is information overload and burnout.
