Yo, do we have this in the UK?
Surveillance Pricing is a problem in all forms, not just delivery services:
bsky.app/profile/cout...
NEW: A newly enacted NY state law requires retailers to reveal whether it used "surveillance pricing" to decide how much you pay for goods. Target, for example, shows the alert on a pop-up when you try to buy eggs online. @regret.bsky.social—@wired.com's new investigative data reporter!—reports:

Never forget, car dependency isn’t freedom.

Some might ask “what’s more free than cars?”

Choices.

Choices are more free than car dependency.

It’s not a hard concept.

I’m not pitting cars against any other single mode of transport.

I’m rejecting design that creates dependency on just one mode.

While focus is often solely on asylum, and small boat crossings in particular, it's important to remember that Labour's hostililty against all migrants is harming not only individuals, but the whole country, with an estimated loss of £10.8billion, and zero actual benefits.

This is exactly the impression I get from the Labour government. I couldn't have said it better.
By the way everyone, what right-wing politicians say about immigrants is literally also what they believe about you.

I love the way 'public' transit ticketing in the UK is so obfuscatory and complicated you need a maths degree to find the cheapest fare option.

The point of a system is what it does.
Don't think I've ever reached that cap, even travelling at peak times.

"Those we don't want here".

Completely aside from who the "we" is (Labour? Voters who might cast a ballot your way if you pander to them?) this is a shameful attitude to apply to an institution partly set up with money gained from colonised nations & the labour of migrants. Migrancy is in its bones

The fact ideologically driven adults are able to participate remotely in a child's journey with their identity is disgusting. Empowering random adults to question their gender while they are developing is the opposite of emotional safety and care

So the Home Office, which is responsible for the welfare of asylum seekers & for determining their claims, has decided to call them “illegal migrants” & tell everyone it’s “furious” about them being here, but I’m sure this is fine and not a symptom of a culture of disbelief & gratuitous cruelty

90% of deep fake images online are non-consensual pornographic images of women and girls.

And yet, these images are not yet illegal in Canada.
Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. This year's theme is digital abuse.

Fewer than 40% of countries have laws protecting women from cyber harassment or cyber stalking. This leaves 44% of the world’s women and girls without access to legal protection.

Sexual assault, femicide, domestic violence, etc. stories are all over the news these days and it can make us feel really overwhelmed and powerless.

Might I suggest signing up to learn bystander intervention? It'll give you concrete tools to feel empowered. And it's free!
