It's my belief that the least any of us can do is to take one political action per month. It can be as little as signing a petition. It can be as much as emailing an MP or councillor. It could be taking part in a protest, either online or in person.

One action per month. The more the better.

There's an irony in the Tories - who fought tooth and nail not to disclose their WhatsApp messages and private emails handing out enormous public contracts to their buddies - now asking Labour to hand over their comms with Mandelson (which don't appear to involve any public money).

A lot of people are commenting on or quoting this post just to pass judgement on what Graham Linehan looks like, instead of talking about what he's testifying about (apparently censorship laws in Europe).
lmao look who's testifying in congress today

Just a quick note to @greenparty.org.uk and @greenpartyhan.bsky.social - I was not consulted on being quoted on your leaflets and I have not endorsed your campaign (or any campaign in this seat). I think this note, like the bar chart next to it, is misleading and out of context.

It is possible to both push for values-based action whilst being a realist and pragmatic about the world we live in.

Real active hope, in fact, demands it.
#bbclaurak tries to get a gotcha. Zack, you refuse to fly. How can you be a candidate for high office if you'd refuse to ever get on a plane?

Well Laura, in that situation I'd get on a plane.

REFORM - leading in the polls - charges prospective candidates £125 to apply to run as an MP - before selecting a GB News host who is a colleague of the party leader and one of his MPs to run instead.

You'd honestly think this was newsworthy.

But apparently not.
Reform seem to have been charging people £125 to put themselves up as potential Gorton and Denton parliamentary Candidates:

Applications closed Sunday.

When did they select Goodwin?

Braverman says she's been "politically homeless" for over 2 years, which means she was reelected in 2024 as an MP for a party she didn't want to be a member of.

And she says Tories "failed Britain [on] Brexit and immigration". She was Brexit minister and Home Secretary. Twice.

But "vote for me!"

Never forget that the reason they are so convinced you’re all getting paid is that they are all getting paid.
The fact that every right winger with influence screams "who is paying for all of this" tells you exactly how awash in cash they all are, and how much they rely on that to keep their movement afloat.
James O'Keefe says he's never seen anything so organized as the anti-ICE movement, observers--he seems to think this term is code--everywhere he goes. Who is paying for it??? he demands to know. It's like he can't even imagine people caring for one another.

Normalise emailing and giving feedback when organisations and businesses do GOOD things for human rights. Right wingers probably do this too, especially in the wake of big changes that take away rights.
