From 1999 to 2000 world-class kayaker and science writer Jon Turk paddled a sea kayak from Japan to Alaska to prove that Jōmon people could've crossed the continents. He started from Nemuro in Hokkaido and arrived at St Lawrence Island (Sivuqaq) after stopping in the winter, showing it was possible.

Where do you even begin? GOP politics, sex crimes, & shady unknowns in Alaska.

Anti-trans pol arrested on 10 counts of possession of child porn, horrific CSAM on vid.

Bailed out, house burns down. Charred human remains found in the rubble, no conclusive ID yet it's him.

1. In Alaska, the right wing govt handpicked doctors to the Medical Board to ban trans youth care.

A month after after, one anti-trans doctor was arrested for child porn.

The day after he was bailed out, his home burned down, with reports suggesting he was found deceased.

Our latest wild story.

Surely the leadership of her party would come out and make statements of solidarity and follow up with action on this gross abuse of power, right?
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son was pulled over by ICE and forced to prove he is an American.

Two options:

1) ICE deliberately targeted him.

2) ICE is stopping all non-White people without any probable cause and forcing them to prove they are citizens.

Hard to say which option is scarier.

The victims at Brown University?

Ella, a white Christian student, and Mukhammad, a Muslim student who originally came from Uzbekistan.

We're all in this together. Be wary of the hatemongers who are demonizing an entire faith for the sins of the few and love guns more than our kids.

I recently spoke at a rally about what the city had coming up to take on ICE.

Among other topics, I spoke about revoking the permit & these people tried to shout me down for correctly describing how the administrative process works & what stage it was at.

Event organizers sent apologies afterward.
The state of Portland left politics is a group of mostly white presumably born-in-USA people from FRSO accusing Angelita Morillo, an immigrant, of not caring about ICE abducting people in Portland and being performative.

We're doing ultra leftism on crack tonight.
These geniuses showed up to oppose a detention facility fee ordinance because it’s not revoking the permit, which is not a power that city council currently has.

There’s an administrative review happening rn.

also cute: the person i said something about, i got backlash for saying something about.

the person i said nothing about, they ended up hurting a lot of other ppl.

cute, yall! but yah me crying is the issue, not like me being an easy mark for victimization & isolation — preemptively disbelieved.
it's weird how yall remember me crying but not which man's apartment i'd just stumbled out of — babbling about him as i pled for a ride home — and then months later, enough cis people have come forward that you give a fuck and receive them as people and not a joke about how much they react to shit.
