If civil servants joining pride marches is seen as "political" then surely all those "SEEN in..." groups dedicated to harassing trans people in whatever sector are even more political? You can't have it both ways Kathleen
Supporting LGBT+ rights is political in a way that breaches the civil service code and opposing them is not political in a way that precludes charitable status is a... complex position to hold, although one managed by former LGBA hate group with charitable status trustee Kathleen Stock.

The reality, of course, is that there's nothing innately political about being LGBTQ+, or about gathering together with other LGBTQ+ people; Pride only exists as a political entity in response to the expectation of shame, to the mistreatment we receive from others because we are _politicised_.

From my referral in 2018 to my surgery this year, I had a total of FIVE diagnoses of Gender Dysphoria. These were just to progress to each step.
And my GIC even refused to accept a diagnosis from one of their own consultants, because it had been done in a private capacity for my GRC application.

Worked hard to get this into Guardian Oz & big props to @fiercemum.bsky.social for setting it up & Melissa Davey for publishing it. She will doubtless get loads of hassle from transphobes for it, but it needs to be out there.
