I don't think a 17-year-old Farage being racist is an issue. The issue is that his response was "yeah, but it's not that big a deal".

Unless you are a millennial (or older) who never called anybody "gay" at school in which case you are a liar whose back always hurts.

One of the worst things about the Your Party shambles is it will encourage many of Britain's unfunniest people to crack many of Britain's unfunniest "people's front of Judea" gags.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Your party has a terrible selection of names, man.

How my confidence has fallen since attending one of their first events a few months ago.

Whether it's recent xenophobic actions at the Home Office.
The biased proscription of Palestine Action.
Or the forcing of I.D. Cards on a population that overwhelmingly rejects them...

There came a point where I started wondering if the Tories were consciously self-sabotaging because they were making such mystifyingly inexcusable blunders. I'm at this point now with Labour.
I think it was @hannahfearn.bsky.social who was asking what's up with the govt's ability to read the room ...
In what world is the response to high-profile and vocal groups of parents raising concerns about teens and smartphones to propose digital ID for teenagers?

The #GlobalSumudFlotilla is delivering life-saving aid to Gazans deliberately starved under Israel’s genocide, including 1 million children.

Spain is sending a naval vessel to protect the flotilla and ensure aid reaches those in desperate need.

The UK must do the same.

How odd that Starmer just decided to recognise Palestine. Almost as though someone was pulling his strings to line up a lucrative job. Anyway, good; being busy in Gaza might stop him interfering in UK.

With Reform (and their voters) opposing ID cards, how long til Starmer U-turns and backs his previous party manifesto that didn't mention them? Five minutes? Six?
Pleased to see Morgan McSweeney continuing to demonstrate his political genius.
Brutal new MRP poll out today showing Reform at 311 and Labour support collapsing.

Compulsory ID cards sounds like a bad idea until you think about what might hapepn if Reform or the Tories or, perhaps worse, an unholy coalition of the two wins the next election. Then they're not a bad idea, they're a fucking terrible idea.
