KERNEN: Europeans are talking about it almost being like Vladimir Putin and Ukraine.

JEFF LANDRY: I disagree. When has the United States engaged in imperialism? Never. Europe has engaged in imperialism. The reason the Danish have Greenland is because of imperialism.

I think Europe has delayed far too long on America on defence matters. The 'Special Relationship' between Britain and America never existed and certainly does not now after the T.T has gone full on mad with his threat to Greenland. It's high time Europe stood up for itself and rearmed independently

Heard effusive stories about ‘tiny forests’ and the ‘Miyawaki method’ for getting trees to grow really fast?

Turns out it’s bollocks:

I wrote this only last week, after saying that Trump seems about to wage war on Venezuela. It seems pretty relevant to what transpired today.

UK and Europe *must* reduce our dependence on America and its technologies as rapidly as we can.

Yet here is a case where a major platform is breaking the law in a very big & high profile way. Has Downing Street had a tête-à-tête with the competent law enforcement institution asking what action has been taken? (Ditto MPs - ask similar Qs?)
Keir Starmer's spokesman asked if Government will still use X now it posts indecent images of children, replies "we always keep communication channels under review to reach public in most appropriate way possible”

"Operators are under obligation to act appropriately. We always hope they would do"

Grok has done for online sexual harassment what the machine gun did for killing. It’s lowered the input cost to the point where a form of violence is basically on demand with zero training required or barriers in place.

On BBC News today: striking that it’s the two old establishment parties - Labour and the Conservatives - refusing to condemn the US breaking international law and doing what it wants.

Feels like politics stuck in the past, while the public has clearly moved on.

Remember: It is a mystery to every journalist and pundit why this Labour government are so roundly and universally detested.
Govt minister Darren Jones is asked what element of international law gives the US the right to abduct the leader of another country.

Jones says he's not qualified to answer that question and he's not a spokesperson for the US administration.

Given what we all now know exactly what these people are, and we know just how horrifically dishonest their cheerleaders are prepared to be to dig them out of a hole: could we now re-examine the events of 2001-2025 while bearing in mind - they are liars who will say anything at all to get their way?

Absolutely true.

What Americans need to understand is that Trump is betraying every one of the 250,000 US servicemen who fought and died for freedom against the Nazis in World War 2.

Every single one of them.
A president Trump would have supported a German invasion of Britain in 1940

Spray paint a plane and they'll detain you without trial and call you a terrorist.

Kidnap a foreign head of state - and Keir Starmer will make it clear we've played no part in it but will wait for the scheduled press conference in a few hours before potentially condemning it

Europe needs to face reality

No one is coming to help us when Putin invades the first NATO country

The US may even assist Putin

A tiny percentage increase in defence spending by some remote future date is not going to deter Putin

We are signalling to him that we are not serious

Time to wake up
