It's the original City Hall station. The first subway station made in the entire system. It's got Tiffany chandeliers and mahogany paneling. It's not "abandoned." It's preserved as part of transit history, and access is incredibly restricted.

It became a popular trend in the late 80s, early 90s for hit movies getting cartoons marketed at kids. Batman: The Animated Series was the best case example of this, but there were others like The Mask or Beetlejuice animated shows.

This is not the best example to make this point because the cartoon was created due to the success of the Tim Burton movie, which also featured a gothic art deco aesthetic that inspired the show. The show even used a version of the movie's theme song.
Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

This was such a weird historical quirk of Occupy.
4chan still was kind of a social hub for hacker troll groups like Anonymous, and their fans all loved Occupy conceptually and showed up on Day 1 in Guy Fawkes masks and thought they would of course be in charge

Fuck, this still has me crying. Small story about me crying at the funeral. I was openly sobbing and a woman behind me or next to me with her husband gave me a tissue. And turns out, she was very prepared it turned out and she told me so. And she was kind about giving me a tissue.

I know the Russo’s have their haters who just dislike their Avengers movies full stop, and that their non-MCU track record is mid at best, but I think there’s even people who liked/loved Infinity War & Endgame who could use a reminder that these are, in fact, proven competent storytellers.
